Bruce believes that the job of a storyteller is first of all, to entertain, and then leave the audience with "food for thought ". He performs original family narratives about growing up in the Appalachian rural south, historical sketches and Bible-based stories. He also writes and performs custom stories for a wide range of events.

Bruce brings a depth of life experience to his original family narratives that have a healing and uplifting effect on those that hear them. He was diagnosed with acute leukemia at 11 years of age, after being treated by Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, La. in 1964, he was sent home to face a bleak future. Unexpectedly the disease went into re-mission and 2 years later he was pronounced cancer free. This early childhood experience gave Bruce an enthusiasm for life that radiates through all his stories, whether light-hearted or serious.

His formal training as a minister, has prepared him for what he does best, storytelling. He has keynoted several national and international church conventions and numerous civic functions.

Bruce has always been a leader. As a teenager, he founded and published the magazine "Blueprint", was a founding member of the singing and musical group," Christian Five", that released sound recordings on the Prestige Label.

Bruce is a serial entrepreneur having succeeded in the automotive and real estate world. He started an automobile dealership in 1985 that he operated successfully, until selling it in 2000. Walker Properties LLC, manages and sales multi-million dollars of real estate a year.
